Interview with BET

  • Can you tell us about your background and how you became involved in the bio energy sector?

After successfully installing and operating power plants of approx. 80MW, we thought of doing something different for the environment not just talk about it. Myself with my partners Ravi Kumar and Vipin Kumar started INVENTIVE GAS EQUIPMENT around 6years back with the same idea.

We started with a complete range of solutions from waste treatment to power projects and CBG. With the time, we developed other items required to reduce the air pollution by reducing carbon and PM particles from industrial diesel gensets.

  • What do you see as the most promising advancements in bio energy today?

The Net Zero Emissions by 2050 (NZE) Scenario sees a rapid increase in the use of bioenergy to displace fossil fuels by 2030. Use of modern bioenergy has increased on average by about 4% per year between 2010 and 2023 and is on an upward trend.

  • How does your organization contribute to the development and promotion of bio energy solutions?

We not only manufacture items required in waste treatment facilities but also offer technology and consulting on harnessing waste energy by generating Power and CBG from it.

We are also manufacturing devices to reduce the carbon footprints from industrial generators (INVENTIVE’s Emission control system and D2G- Dual fuel system).

  • What are the main environmental and economic benefits of bio energy compared to traditional energy sources?

No doubt there are multiple environmental benefit from bioenergy as its not only reduce the carbon emission but have economic benefits as well. Considering the subsidies provided on CBG generation and Cost savings involved with the use of briquets / PNG in Genset operation. Compressed biogas or power generated from waste like cow-dungs, STPs not only solve the problem of waste but also provide economic support to end user.

  • Can you discuss any recent projects or innovations your team is working on?

INVENTIVE is moving forward with CPCB IV+ Gas Genset upto 1000KVA. With this INVENTIVE will be India’s first company having all emission compliant solutions (Dual Fuel, CPCB approved RECDs, PNG Genset) under one roof. We can offer customised and pollution compliant solutions based on end-user’s requirement.

  • What are the biggest challenges facing the bio energy industry, and how can they be addressed?

There are some financial, economic and infrastructure barriers still exist which are the biggest challenge. Financial and fiscal support measures can ensure that the production and use of bioenergy are profitable for enterprises and affordable for final consumers.

  • What advice would you give to young professionals or entrepreneurs interested in pursuing a career in bio energy?

Don’t just get into this after hearing some news. Need to understand this concept and idea with your heart and mind. Think about the benefits and challenges. If you want to make some change and be the change then this field have limitless opportunities.

  • Looking ahead, what are your predictions for the bio energy industry over the next decade?

Not only the predictions, We are confident that Bio-energy will change the future, not only for the businesses like us but for all the beings on this planet and beyond.
